The BIG post!!!

I am pleased to introduce The Lewis Family!!! After a lot of prayer, Roger and I believe that God has provided the Lewis' to be Nastia's forever family. While she is a wonderful fit in our family and we believe she would be very happy with us, we believe even more that she is a perfect fit with the Lewis'! She will have two older siblings and three younger siblings and we think this is just what she needs!
The Lewis' have already spoken to an adoption agency and the process has already begun. We will be spending more time with this great family until Nastia leaves, but she is already very comfortable with them, and we are so pleased that she has taken to them so well. We are not allowed to communicate in any way that she will be adopted, so please do not say anything about this to her. This is for her own protection! Keep in mind that she is still here on a hosting program, and that is how it will remain over the next week and a half. At some point in the adoption process she will be told that the Lewis' are coming for her.
So, without further ado...
Meet Kevin and Deb and their children...Hannah (15), Joshua (13), Aaron (8), Sarah (6), and Bekah (4)

Please pray for them as they begin the adoption process. They have tons of paperwork, a few homestudy visits, and thousands of dollars to ask God to provide. I will give you more information about opportunities to help them cover the cost of their adoption soon!

If you would like to congratulate the Lewis family please leave a comment! They will read each and every one!

  4. I actually meant to type "In God's awesome grace", but I was thinking too fast while I was typing....
By the way, Andrew and I have been studying James lately and we came across James 1:27 last night!(:

  8. This MADE MY NIGHT. I wish the same for our sweet Dasha. She really needs the "right fit' as far as a family goes. Please keep her in your prayers! (I have heard from two families who are praying about it. She is not legally available until next spring, so we are hoping to host her again so she can meet these families:)

    SOOOOOO happy for Nastia!!!!

  9. Thank you for all of your encouragement and prayers. We are so grateful also for the Shealy's for opening their home to Nastia and caring for her while she is here.
Please continue to pray for us as we prepare to add this wonderful young lady to our family. We can't wait for her return to the US.

  12. Congratulations. Many, many blessings as you walk through this journey ahead. Adopting my two was without a doubt God's greatest blessing to their mom. The paperwork is a royal pain but I don't even think about it now. I started out not knowing even how to say apostille and ended up grateful I lived in the state capital and glad I worked just a few miles from the place to get them!! It is so worth it!!! Looking forward to following your journey to bring her back for good!

Asked my 7 year old what his greatest blessing in life was this week. He said it was the train when he was a baby? I was quite curious about that response. He explained that it was the train that took him to Moscow to catch the plane to come to America....when he was 5 1/2 (not such a baby!). That train wouldn't be what I considered the highlight, but having God send Daniel and Maria to be my children certainly was! What an exciting journey y'all are about to begin.....start knocking those steps off!!! Hope your dossier beats Nastia back home!!!

  15. You all are so encouraging to me. I do feel a little overwhelmed by all the paperwork and appreciated all the posts here. Maybe it is like labor and that when you have your precious child, you forget it all. We are looking forward to spending the day with Nastia, Kerry and kids tomorrow.
