Our homestudy is tonight!

In order to bring Anastasija here we have to have a mini-homestudy. The social worker will talk to Roger and I, and all of the kids, and check out our house. She has to make sure we have a bed and dresser space for Anastasija. She will also make sure our home is a safe place.
I'm not worried about passing the homestudy, but I am a little nervous. It brings us one step closer to bringing Anastasija here...in 22 days!!!

  1. Hi Kerry! I just found your blog and am so glad I did! I am also trying to host a Latvia orphan - an beautiful 12-year-old girl named Jana. I have been trying to raise the funds too... it's been three days and I've only raised $125. I don't get it. I have emailed, facebooked, and even had my roommate email everyone she knew! But, I read about your fundraising and I am hopeful again. I feel so strongly that this little girl needs to be with me... and I've even been learning to speak Lativan! So, thank you for being an inspiration when I needed it most, and I ask that you say a prayer that I am able to raise the funds I need to get Jana here. The goal is $2500. I posted this comment as my name and facebook page link - it has all the info about Jana, the program, and the organization to make donations for on behalf of our fund (myself and roommate... she's excited too!). Thank you again and I wish you the very best for your visit with Anastasija! It is such a gift to these children!
    Best wishes,
    Joanna

  2. I remember seeing a picture of Jana! She is beautiful! I will pray that you are able to raise the funds. I know it is hard, but I am so happy our testimony was an encouragement to you!
